What started as an idea in 2018 grew into a multi-faceted Christmas experience designed for every age group and welcomed friends and families in to create memories together. Over the course of three seasons, more than 55,000 guests stepped into a world of light, laughter, and love—crafted by a team of passionate dreamers who gave it their best to make each detail meaningful.
After three magical seasons, the Lone Star Lights experience has come to a close. 2024 marked our final year welcoming guests to experience the wonder, joy, and meaning of Christmas in a way that was uniquely Carolina Creek.
From the very beginning, Lone Star Lights was more than just an event. It was an extension of Carolina Creek’s mission: to invite people to experience and know the love of Jesus. Every light strung, every story told, every environment built was an opportunity to point people to that love—whether it came through shared moments with family, a quiet walk through Fractal Forest, or the stillness at the center of the nativity in “Reason for the Season.”
We look back with full hearts, grateful for the creativity sparked, the memories made, and the lives impacted. To the tens of thousands of guests who made Lone Star Lights part of your Christmas tradition—thank you. To the dedicated staff, volunteers, and creative minds who made it possible—your efforts made it possible for thousands of families and individuals to share the season with those closest to them.
Though the lights have dimmed on this event, the heart behind it continues on. Lone Star Lights was born from a deep desire to create moments of connection, wonder, and reflection—an expression of the love of Jesus in a season that points to Him. That legacy lives on in the lives touched, the stories shared, and the memories made across each of the past three seasons.
