Local Toy Store Becomes a Favorite Among Families, Expands Offerings and Plans for Continued Growth

HUNTSVILLE, Texas — Adler Family Toys, a beloved local toy store in Huntsville, celebrated its one-year anniversary on August 5. The celebration, held on August 3, brought together families from across the community to mark the store’s first year of operation. Owned and operated by Shane and Madelyn Adler, the store has quickly become a go-to destination for parents and children alike.

“We moved back to Huntsville and immediately noticed a lack of spaces specifically for kids,” said Madelyn Adler, co-owner of the store. “We wanted to create a place where children could make core memories, just like our daughter Willow has at other toy stores.”

The Adlers, parents of Willow, 5, and Bear, 2, opened the store with a vision of providing a welcoming, family-oriented environment. “Our goal was to create a space that was not only fun for kids but also nostalgic and comforting for adults,” added Shane Adler. “When people walk in, they’re often surprised by the store’s layout and the variety of toys we offer.”

Adler Family Toys stands out in the community for its unique inventory, which includes sensory-focused items and nostalgic toys that appeal to both children and adults. The store also offers a range of experiences, such as hosting children’s birthday parties, allowing kids to celebrate in the magical setting of a toy store. “Hosting birthday parties here has been a huge hit,” said Madelyn. “It’s a special memory for the kids, and it brings families closer together.”

Over the past year, the Adlers have worked hard to integrate their business into the Huntsville community. “We’ve been able to connect with so many local families, which has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this journey,” Shane shared. “Building these relationships has allowed us to establish our roots in Huntsville, and we truly feel like this is home.”

The community’s response to Adler Family Toys has been overwhelmingly positive. “People are often amazed when they discover us,” Shane said. “The feedback has been great, and it’s clear that there’s a real need for a store like this in Huntsville.”

In addition to their regular offerings, the Adlers have plans for expansion. Over the past year, they’ve added a selection of boutique clothing for children and are now exploring the possibility of adding a candy section. “We’re constantly looking for ways to improve and meet the needs of our customers,” said Madelyn. “Our goal is to offer something unique that you can’t find in big-box stores.”

One of the highlights of the store’s first year was their anniversary celebration, which included a variety of activities for children, such as pony rides and balloon art. “It was a rewarding experience to see the joy on the kids’ faces,” Shane recalled. “These are the kinds of memories we want to create for the children of Huntsville.”

Looking forward, the Adlers are excited about the future of their store. “We want to continue being a place where families can come together and create lasting memories,” Madelyn said. “Watching Willow and Bear interact with other kids in the store is one of the greatest joys of this business. It’s a reminder of why we started this journey in the first place.”
