Mr. Donald E. Jackson Appointed New Head of School at Alpha Omega Academy
Huntsville, TX – Alpha Omega Academy (AOA) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mr. Donald E. Jackson as the new Head of School, following a comprehensive search and selection process that highlighted the community’s engagement and commitment. Mr. Jackson, who has been serving as the Head of Grammar School at AOA, will assume his new role at the completion of the 2023-2024 academic year, succeeding the interim Head of School, Nolan Neugebauer.
Mr. Jackson brings a wealth of experience to his new position, with 36 years in the education sector, including 22 years in school leadership roles. His tenure at AOA has been marked by dedication to fostering a Christ-centered, classical education, a vision he plans to continue and expand in his capacity as Head of School.
In a statement, Mr. Jackson expressed his enthusiasm for his new role and outlined his commitment to the school’s mission. “This passion motivates me to communicate, collaborate, and most of all care about mankind and their pursuit of excellence,” he said. His focus on community, collaboration, and excellence reflects the core values of AOA and underscores his dedication to leading the academy into its next chapter.
The transition to Mr. Jackson’s leadership will be facilitated by a collaborative effort with Mr. Neugebauer, ensuring a seamless changeover for students, staff, and the wider school community. Mr. Neugebauer will return to his position as Head of Secondary School at the end of the academic year, with a search commencing for a new Head of Grammar School to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Jackson.
