Southern Utah retaliated with a 3-pointer, but Lamar Wilkerson came off the bench and scored a crucial 3-pointer to match it. The Bearkats’ lead extended to 54-42 when Cameron Huefner made two free throws, and Kaosi Ezeagu dunked the ball with two hands, assisted by Grant. Though the Thunderbirds managed to cut the lead to 61-57 with 29 seconds remaining, Tristan Ikpe made a pair of free throws, and Grant scored one with 10 seconds left to seal the game.
