CASA hosts food truck fest, family bingo night, and golf cart raffle for foster care advocacy

HUNTSVILLE, Texas — CASA of Walker, San Jacinto, and Trinity Counties is kicking off June with a trio of community-centered events designed to raise awareness and support for children in foster care. From delicious tacos to a high-stakes raffle, the nonprofit is offering residents a chance to eat, play, and win — all for a worthy cause.

Food Truck Friday returns with Frank’s Taco Station

Mark your calendars for Friday, June 6, when CASA’s Food Truck Friday returns to McWilliams Heating Cooling & Plumbing, located at 1233 11th Street, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

This year’s featured truck is Frank’s Taco Station, known for serving up crispy tacos, loaded nachos, messy fries, and bold flavors that capture the taste of Mexico. The popular lunchtime gathering is not just about food — it’s about fueling a mission.

“Every bite helps support CASA’s work advocating for children in foster care,” said Laura Green, CASA Development Director.

Bring your coworkers, family, and friends for lunch that makes a difference.

Pizza & Bingo Night offers slices and prizes

For those who enjoy a good laugh with their dinner, Double Dave’s Pizzaworks at 3011 11th Street will host Pizza & Bingo Night on Thursday, June 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The community favorite blends hand-tossed pies with multiple bingo rounds and prizes. The first two bingo cards are free, and each additional card costs just $1. Proceeds benefit CASA’s mission to ensure every child in foster care has a safe, permanent home.

“It’s a night of food, fun, and fostering hope,” Green said. “Whether you come for the Peproni Rolls® or the prizes, you’re making a difference.”

Golf cart raffle ends June 7 at Crawfish Boil

The countdown is on for CASA’s Golf Cart Raffle, with the winner to be announced on June 7 during the Crawfish Boil at Wischnewsky. Tickets are $25 each or five for $100, with all proceeds supporting CASA’s child advocacy programs.

The prize? A 2025 Evolution Classic 4 Golf Cart — ideal for beach outings, neighborhood rides, or weekends at the deer lease.

You don’t need to be present to win. Tickets can be purchased online at CASA’s official site:
