CASA of Walker, San Jacinto, and Trinity Counties, a non-profit organization that advocates for abused and neglected children, is set to open its new facility on April 4, 2023. The organization has moved to a new location that will provide more space and better visibility to the community.

According to Executive Director John Smith, the new facility will help CASA achieve its goal of providing a “safe, permanent, nurturing home for every child it serves.” He added, “with this greater visibility and exposure, we will a chance to recite to new people what we’ve accomplished in our support of children in the three counties.”

The move to the new facility was welcomed by long-time advocate Chris Supan who said, “They will have sufficient room to conduct all of the trainings and the ability to serve the needs of the advocates in this location.” The new location will allow CASA to “accommodate our current needs, and have more ideas implemented without having to move again,” said Smith.

CASA invites the public to attend the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening on May 11 at 4:30. Refreshments will be provided as visitors explore the new facility that will be important to the program and its mission going forward.
