Cherished team member reaches a milestone of unwavering commitment and leadership
HUNTSVILLE, Texas – Tomorrow’s Promise Montessori Schools is celebrating a remarkable milestone for one of its most dedicated team members, Ashley Templeton. On July 16, 2002, Templeton joined the institution as a young and enthusiastic teacher. Twenty-two years later, her passion for nurturing young minds remains as strong as ever, making her an invaluable part of the school community.
Templeton, who grew up in Point Blank, Texas, found her way to Tomorrow’s Promise through a connection with an employee. “I knew a lady that was working at Tomorrow’s Promise at the time, and I came and applied and got the job,” she recalled.
Throughout her 22-year tenure, Templeton has grown both personally and professionally. “I started out as a very young adult and have grown tremendously over the years,” she said. Templeton has developed into a confident leader, although she humorously admitted, “I’m still a little shy”.
Templeton’s journey at Tomorrow’s Promise has seen many changes. “Back when I started, we only had the first building, the baby building, and then half of the office building. Over the years, we have slowly grown and gotten more children,” she explained. Many of the children she watched grow are now graduating high school. “I feel old because my children should not be graduating high school yet,” she added with a laugh.
Templeton’s roles have evolved significantly over the years. “I started out as a teacher, then worked in the office for a period around the early 2010s, went back to the classroom, and then transitioned back and forth between the office and the classroom,” she said. In August 2023, she became the Director of Children’s House, a role she continues to embrace with enthusiasm. “I’m very busy. From the time I get here, I am delivering breakfast, being in the classroom, checking emails, and handling daily tasks,” she described.
Despite her busy schedule, Templeton finds immense joy in her work. “I’ve always loved children and to just be able to watch them grow over the years. Even after they get out of high school, they still say, ‘Miss Ashley, we missed you.’ I just saw one of my children yesterday when I went to pick up shirts for my daughter, and I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, what are you doing working here?'” she shared.
As Tomorrow’s Promise celebrates Templeton’s 22 years of service, the school looks forward to many more years of her invaluable contributions. Her unwavering commitment, exceptional leadership, and lasting impact on countless lives are deeply appreciated.
