Uberrito in Huntsville, Texas, has rebranded and is set to reopen as DCG District Chicken & Gyro. The closure was announced on Facebook, with additional details provided by fliers at the location, 255 I-45 Suite D, Huntsville, TX 77340, indicating “Coming January” for the new eatery. Despite efforts to gather more information, responses have not been forthcoming at the time of this update.

A gyro, the centerpiece of the new establishment’s name, is a popular Greek dish featuring meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie, traditionally pork, chicken, beef, or lamb. It’s commonly served wrapped or stuffed in a flatbread such as pita, with accompaniments like tomato, onion, and a variety of sauces, often tzatziki. The term ‘gyro’ refers to the circular rotation of the meat as it cooks.
