New downtown bookstore to celebrate Texas literature, art, and wine this fall
HUNTSVILLE, Texas – A new chapter in local retail is about to be written. Mortar & Pestle of Texas, an independent bookstore and gift shop dedicated to the Lone Star State’s rich cultural identity, is set to open Fall 2025 at 1117 12th Street in downtown Huntsville.
The upcoming shop promises a one-of-a-kind blend of “books, art, wine, and gifts… all from our amazing state of Texas,” according to early promotional materials.
