Domain Huntsville opens doors to modern apartment living in growing corridor

New 312-unit community brings hotel-style amenities, spacious floor plans to Huntsville

A new apartment community is raising expectations for multifamily living in Huntsville.

Domain Huntsville officially opened about two months ago and is now leasing its first phase of homes, offering modern finishes, generous square footage and a slate of amenities designed to feel more like a boutique hotel than a traditional apartment complex.

The development includes 312 total units across 11 buildings, with five buildings currently available for leasing and additional phases scheduled to open over the coming months.

A model built for convenience

Unlike most apartment communities, Domain Huntsville’s one-bedroom model is built directly into the clubhouse, allowing prospective residents to tour comfortably regardless of weather.

The property features three floor plan options — one-, two- and three-bedroom homes — each designed with an emphasis on space and livability. One-bedroom units measure approximately 750 square feet, two-bedroom units span about 1,172 square feet, and three-bedroom homes offer nearly 1,400 square feet.

All layouts include granite countertops, two-tone cabinetry with pull hardware, subway tile backsplashes, black fixtures, stainless steel appliances and full-size washers and dryers in every unit.

Designed to feel like home

According to community manager Liana Cogburn, the goal was to create apartments that feel residential rather than transient.

“We wanted something that felt homey, spacious and comfortable,” Cogburn said during a recent tour. “That’s why the client chose larger floor plans and interior finishes that feel warm and modern.”

Each unit features walk-in closets, private hot water heaters so residents only pay for their own usage, ceiling fans in every bedroom and kitchens designed with storage in mind, including pantries even in one-bedroom layouts.

Unlike many multifamily properties, all units are accessed directly from the exterior, eliminating interior hallways and providing front-door access from the parking area.

Amenities built for daily life

The clubhouse serves as the social hub of the community, offering multiple indoor gathering spaces, study and conference areas, and high-speed Wi-Fi for residents who want a change of scenery from home.

A secured indoor mail and package center keeps deliveries protected from the elements and is accessible 24/7 via resident fobs. The same fob access applies to the on-site fitness center, which features brand-new, state-of-the-art equipment.

Other shared amenities include an arcade room available to residents and guests at no additional cost, a resort-style pool with shaded seating, and outdoor spaces designed for casual relaxation.

What’s still coming

Construction is ongoing on several amenities set to open in future phases. These include a beer-garden-style outdoor gathering area with a large fire pit, pergolas, hammocks, cornhole and horseshoe games. While no alcohol will be served, the space is designed to encourage community interaction.

A large dog park, dog wash stations and multiple pet amenities are also planned, along with electric vehicle charging stations throughout the property. Covered parking and garage options will be available for an additional fee, while open parking is provided throughout the community.

Flexible living for the broader community

Domain Huntsville is classified as a multifamily community and is not designated as student housing. Any applicant who qualifies may apply, making it an option for professionals, families and long-term residents alike.

Current one-bedroom apartments start at approximately $1,349 per month, with incentives that may reduce the effective monthly cost. Deposits are set at $750 for all floor plan types, and application and administrative fees are credited back upon approval.

Additional incentives include preferred moving services and resident referral bonuses for those who already live on-site.

Located along a key entry corridor into the city, the development has drawn attention for how it reshapes first impressions of Huntsville.

Community leaders and nearby property owners have noted that the project elevates the surrounding area, creating momentum for further residential and commercial investment nearby.
