The Sam Houston State University Civil War Consortium will host its 2026 annual conference, “Four Score and Seven Years Later: Civil War Americans and the Legacy of the Revolution,” June 12-13 on the SHSU campus.

The conference will feature presentations by 12 leading scholars and a keynote address by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David Blight.

Registration includes admission to two days of lectures, two lunches and a self-guided tour of the Sam Houston Republic of Texas Presidential Library and Museum.
