Birding 101
About This Event
Take a moment to learn the skill and joy of observing our feathered friends.
Whether they call the park home or are just stopping by, Texas State Parks are a great place to observe birds. No special tools are needed to enjoy their company, but getting comfortable with binoculars, a bird guide and helpful apps can lead to a greater appreciation.
The program will take place in the day-use area next to the boat ramp, offering opportunities to see birds in the trees and across the water. Binoculars and birding guides will be available to borrow.
Whether you are working on your life list or do not know what a life list is, stop by and take part.
The program is free with a park day pass. Basic equipment will be provided. Participants should bring or wear weather- and activity-appropriate gear.
The program is accessible, with nearby parking and sidewalks. It is weather dependent, so follow Huntsville State Park on social media for updates.
