Triple C Challenge

Huntsville State Park will celebrate the reopening of the Triple C Trail with the Triple C Challenge on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026. The opening ceremony and community partner booths begin at the Nature Center at 8.30 a.m.

Participants can hike, bike, or run the newly reopened 8.5 mile route. Anyone who cannot make the opening can use the trail during park hours, and the park notes the route is rougher than its other trails, with rocks and heavier vegetation while it returns to regular use.

Bring water, sun protection, snacks, and sturdy shoes. The event is free with park admission. Adults 13 and older pay $7, children 12 and under are free, and park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
