Why the run? The event’s rallying cry is clear: “SAVE A CHILD. SAVE A FAMILY. SAVE A CITY.” Proceeds from the race will directly support A Time 2 Read, a 501(c)3 organization devoted to improving literacy levels among children in public schools. This initiative provides volunteers to tutor students weekly, providing resources, backpacks, and training, with an underlying mission to show students they are cherished and valuable.

The commitment to enhancing public education is deeply intertwined with the wellbeing of Huntsville as a whole. By working together, A Time 2 Read believes that the community can foster a thriving, high-achieving school system, one where every child succeeds.

Runners of all ages are invited, and those with baby joggers or strollers are welcome, with a request to line up at the back to ensure safety. As participants take to the streets, the primary rule of the day is to have fun on the run!
