Four Huntsville High Seniors awarded Mary Frances Park Memorial Scholarships for their studies at Sam Houston State University
This past week, the Huntsville Walker County Chamber of Commerce recognized the recipients of the Mary Frances Park Memorial Scholarship. This highly competitive scholarship was awarded to four accomplished Huntsville High School seniors: Melissa Garrido, Elijah McMichael, Dalila Quinteros, and Daniel Ascencio.
The Mary Frances Park Memorial Scholarship is a 2,500-dollar scholarship sponsored by the Huntsville Walker County Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial support to high school students in the Walker County area who plan to attend Sam Houston State University.
Melissa Garrido plans to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice, Elijah McMichael in Business, Dalila Quinteros in Nursing, and Daniel Ascencio in Civil Engineering as well as Business. The Huntsville Walker County Chamber of Commerce wishes these students success in their future endeavors as SHSU Bearkats.
