Entergy Texas journeyman serviceman Lupe Vallejo was recognized during the Saints vs. Rams game on December 1.
Entergy Texas journeyman serviceman Lupe Vallejo stepped into the spotlight as Entergy Texas’ Lineman of the Game during the New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams game on December 1 at the Caesars Superdome. This recognition program, a collaboration between Entergy and the Saints, celebrates line and pipe workers who demonstrate excellent job performance, a commitment to safety, and meaningful community impact.
A native of New Waverly, Texas, Vallejo has dedicated 22 years to Entergy Texas, progressing from a contract meter reader to journeyman serviceman at the Huntsville service center. Known for his expertise and strong work ethic, Vallejo plays a vital role in maintaining the electrical grid and fostering customer relationships.
“Lupe has proven to be a valuable asset to the network with his many years of experience, knowledge, safety record, and great work ethic,” said Rigoberto Martinez, utility foreman and Vallejo’s supervisor.
Vallejo credits Entergy for his career growth and takes pride in his work, especially during storm restoration efforts, where he helps restore power after hurricanes and other severe weather events.
“The most rewarding part of my job is bringing the lights back on when customers need it most,” Vallejo shared. “Entergy Texas has given me the opportunity to build a career, support my family, and serve my community.”
Outside of work, Vallejo enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his kids at their sporting events. On December 1, he brought that same energy to the field, hyping up Saints fans as part of this game-day tradition.
The recognition of Vallejo during the Saints-Rams game highlights Entergy Texas’ commitment to honoring the hard work and dedication of its line and pipe workers. It was a proud moment for Vallejo, his family, and the entire Entergy Texas team.
