Heart to Heart Hospice opens Huntsville location to serve local families
New 15th Street office brings locally focused hospice care to Walker County
Heart to Heart Hospice has officially opened a new location in Huntsville, expanding its services to better support patients and families across Walker County with compassionate, end-of-life care.
The Huntsville office, located on 15th Street, has been licensed and operational since November and recently marked its arrival with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new location allows the organization to focus directly on serving the Huntsville area, something leaders say has long been needed.
Julie Hill, executive director of the Huntsville location, said the expansion reflects a commitment to local care delivered by local professionals.
Heart to Heart Hospice is a well-established provider with a strong presence across Texas, but Hill said the organization intentionally built its Huntsville operation with community connection in mind. The team is fully staffed with local employees who live and work in the area.
The hospice works closely with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and senior living providers. Hill said contracts and partnerships with local facilities were established before opening to ensure continuity of care for patients and families.
Patients are typically referred through physicians, hospitals, or care facilities, though families seeking hospice support can also learn more directly through the organization. The Huntsville team provides care coordination, emotional and spiritual support, and medical services designed to support patients and their loved ones during a critical stage of life.
Hill emphasized that Heart to Heart Hospice is now fully open and ready to serve the Huntsville community.
