Obituary
Gaylynn Key passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of devotion to her family and a heart that extended to all she cared for, especially her beloved fur babies. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Key Jr.; her children, Michelle Mathis and Michael Key; her sister, Martha Carrillo; her mother, Bessie Christian; and numerous cherished fur babies who brought her joy and companionship throughout her life.
Gaylynn is survived by her son, Paul Key; her daughter, Stephanie Kray; and her grandchildren, Courtney Mathis and Corbin Mathis, who will continue to honor her memory and the love she so freely gave. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance during visitation and viewing on January 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sam Houston Funeral Home in Willis, TX, followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. to celebrate Gaylynn’s life and legacy.
Gaylynn will be remembered for her strength, her compassion, and the deep love she held for her family both two-legged and four. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
