Jimmy Jones, age 83, passed away peacefully on January 6, at his home in New Caney, Texas. Jimmy was born in Louisiana to Homer and Clara Jones, where he spent his early years before building a life rooted in dedication, hard work, and service. At just 16 years old, he proudly began his service in the United States Navy, demonstrating a strong sense of duty at an early age. After completing his military service, he went on to build a long and dependable career as a building engineer with Southwestern Bell, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Jones; his sons, Shane and Bryan (Amanda) Jones; and his cherished grandchildren, Jeremiah, JJ, Megan, Shelby, Kaiden, Danica, and Bryan Jr. Jimmy was a devoted husband, proud father, and loving grandfather, and his family meant everything to him. Jimmy will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast character, and lifelong commitment to those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
