Obituary

Pamelah P. Carr, 81, passed away on September 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband, Doug Carr, and dear friends. Pamelah was born on January 13, 1945, in Opp, Alabama, to Joseph Jackson Parr and Myrtice Blocker. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph; her mother, Myrtice; and her brother, Eddie Parr. Pamelah was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She will be remembered for her kindness, wonderful sense of humor, strength, faith, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to her family and friends. She was the loving mother of two sons, Ryder McCollough and Rhitt McCollough. She was a proud grandmother to Samantha and her husband, Taylor Carroll; Logan McCollough; and Regan and her husband, Cody Kinabrew. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Mahayla Nicole, Dylan McCollough, Gunnar McCollough, and Cammie Shelly McCollough.

Pamelah also leaves behind her two stepdaughters, Terri Glenn and Dana McDonald, as well as her step-grandchildren, Blake, Brittni, Braden, Dylan, Ian, Trevor, Caitlyn, and Heather. Pam especially loved spending time with her husband, Doug. The two enjoyed watching sports together, and racecar racing held a special place among their favorite pastimes. And then there was Elvis. Pam was a true Elvis Presley fan through and through.

Her love for Elvis could be seen in her collection of memorabilia and heard anytime she was behind the wheel—because when Pam was in the car, there was only one artist playing: Elvis. Above all, Pamelah will be remembered for the love she shared, the laughter she brought into the lives of others, and the devotion she had for those closest to her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends and in the many special moments they were blessed to share with her.

Celebration of Life A Celebration of Life honoring Pamelah will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Following the service, family and friends are invited to remain for a light reception and a time of fellowship, sharing memories, and celebrating Pam’s life together.
