Blood Drive with Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center
End the 2024 year by helping to save a life- donate blood! The Huntsville Public Library will be hosting the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center on December 9th from 1:00-5:30pm in the Staggs Community Room for our Blood Drive Event. You may reserve your appointment online at giveblood.org using sponsor code: PLHU or call Amanda Sturdivant (936) 291- 5481. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center needs 1,000 donations every day of the year to serve patients in our community. While 1 in 7 hospitalized people will need a blood transfusion in a lifetime, only 1 in 20 eligible blood donors actually donate. There is no substitute for blood – your donation saves lives. Each donation can save up to 3 lives, because a whole blood donation can be divided into three components—plasma, platelets, and red blood cells.
