Get ready for an exciting night of Bearkat pride as Sam Houston State University tips off the 2025–26 basketball season with Bearkat Madness at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum. This annual tradition brings together students, alumni, and fans for a night filled with energy, entertainment, and giveaways.

Fans can enjoy on-court competitions, team introductions, and the highly anticipated reveal of Basketball Sammy. Meet your Bearkat men’s and women’s basketball teams up close, and take part in fun games and challenges throughout the night.

There will be plenty of prizes and giveaways, including:

• Ninja slushi machine
• Karaoke machine

• Scholarship shot opportunity
