Local restaurant dedicates proceeds to support children in Walker, San Jacinto, and Trinity counties.
HUNTSVILLE, Texas – Farmhouse Cafe, a beloved local restaurant known for its home-cooked meals and made-from-scratch desserts, is partnering with CASA of Walker, San Jacinto, and Trinity counties for a series of fundraisers throughout June.
Every Tuesday this month, patrons can enjoy lunch, dinner, or simply stop in for a slice of cake or pie, knowing that a portion of the proceeds will support CASA’s efforts in the community. The initiative is a collaboration between Farmhouse Cafe owners Brian and Karen Koerselman and CASA, with the Koerselmans celebrating their restaurant’s 20th anniversary by giving back.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) works to support children who have experienced abuse or neglect by providing trained volunteer advocates. Laura Green, CASA’s Development Director, expressed gratitude for the cafe’s support.
To participate, diners should mention CASA at checkout on any Tuesday in June. For more information, contact Laura Green at l.green@casaofwalkercounty.org or 936-291-2272, ext. 105.
