Bridget Maloney Leads Community Effort to Raise $5,771 for Student Fees at HHS

HUNTSVILLE, TX — Bridget Maloney, a 1986 alumna of Huntsville High School, wants to ensure that no senior misses out on graduation due to financial barriers. With the total outstanding fees amounting to $5,771, Maloney is calling on the Huntsville community to help clear these debts before the commencement on May 25.

Dubbed “Operation HHS Graduation,” this independent initiative aims to support all HHS seniors who are struggling to afford the necessary fees for their graduation ceremony. While not an official fundraiser by HISD, Superintendent Dr. Scott Sheppard and Huntsville High School Principal Paul Trevino are aware of and supportive of the cause.

Donations can be made electronically through a QR code (see below article) that directs to a Zelle account specifically set up for this campaign, ensuring a transparent and direct method of contribution. Maloney has committed to providing a detailed account of all deposits received.

For those who prefer traditional methods, checks can be addressed to “Huntsville High School” with “Operation HHS Graduation” noted in the memo line. Maloney has also offered to personally pick up donations to facilitate the process for those interested.

The community is encouraged to share this initiative widely and keep the school’s students, faculty, and staff in their thoughts as the school year concludes. By rallying support through the #AlwaysAHornet and #OperationHHSGraduation hashtags, Huntsville can demonstrate its strong community spirit and commitment to the success of its youth.

For more information or to arrange a donation pick-up, residents can contact Bridget Maloney directly at 972-741-0957. Through collective efforts, the community aims to ensure that financial difficulties do not prevent any senior from participating in their graduation.
