High Awards Tally Sets High Hopes for Upcoming Competitive Cheer Season

The Huntsville ISD Cheer Program set an impressive precedent for the forthcoming cheer season during the National Cheer Association (NCA) camp held at Sam Houston State University last week. The teams had the opportunity to learn from renowned cheerleaders nationwide, honing new skills and routines over the four-day camp in preparation for several end-of-camp competitions.

Throughout the camp, the program showcased significant growth, with the dedicated cheerleaders’ hard work propelling them to the top. Out of all the programs participating in the camp, Huntsville Cheer walked away with the highest number of accolades. The entire program was honored with S.A.F.E certificates, spirit sticks, and crucially, bids to the NCA Nationals. With an award-winning camp behind them, the team is now gearing up for the season, resolute in their intent to continue their winning streak at various state and national cheer competitions.
