Huntsville ISD offers free meals to all children and teens through its Seamless Summer Meal Program.

HUNTSVILLE, TX — The Huntsville Independent School District (HISD) has kicked off its Seamless Summer Meal Program for 2024, starting today, Monday, June 3. The program offers free meals to all Huntsville area children and teens aged 18 and younger, as well as enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old. Notably, children do not need to be enrolled in HISD to participate.

Meals will be served at three campus sites from Monday through Thursday, aligned with summer school schedules:

  • Samuel W. Houston Elementary (1641 7th Street) from June 3 to July 5 for Pre-K programs, offering breakfast from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM and lunch from 10:50 AM to 12:30 PM.
  • Mance Park Middle School (1010 8th Street) from June 3 to June 27, providing breakfast from 7:15 AM to 8:00 AM and lunch from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
  • Huntsville High School (515 FM 2821 East) from June 3 to June 27, serving breakfast from 7:45 AM to 8:30 AM and lunch from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Additionally, the Green Hornet Food Bus will deliver Grab & Go meals to five designated stops Monday through Thursday. The schedule for the bus stops is as follows:

  • 10:46 AM at Cogan’s Grove
  • 11:32 AM at University Heights Baptist Church
  • 12:17 PM at Huntsville Public Library
  • 12:42 PM at Walker County Boys & Girls Club Clubhouse
  • 1:18 PM at Riverside Baptist Church

The Green Hornet meals include lunch and breakfast for the next day.
