Huntsville, TX – Huntsville Independent School District (ISD) has announced that all of its campuses and facilities will be closed on Friday, April 7, 2023, in observance of the Good Friday holiday. The district wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend.
Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday.
Huntsville ISD serves students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade and operates several schools in the Huntsville area. The district is committed to providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for all students.
