HUNTSVILLE — The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and thriving among the youth in Huntsville. On Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 12 pm to 3 pm, organizers Chris and Madison Brown of Jump Around Moonwalks, will the first-ever Kids Business Market at 2405 Ave I (The Color Bar parking lot). This unique event will see children aged 4-18 not just as attendees, but as the stars of the show.
Already, 24 budding entrepreneurs have signed up, eager to set up their booths and introduce the community to their ventures. These ventures range from lemonade and sweet tea stands to home goods, farm produce, toys, and more. The young business owners will be displaying their goods, highlighting their business acumen, and introducing the community to the future of business in Huntsville.
“It’s important for our community to support these young minds and show them that their ambitions and ideas are valued,” said Chris. Alongside his co-organizer, Madison Brown, and co-host, Justin Killingsworth of The Color Bar, the team envisions this event as a stepping stone for these young minds to nurture their entrepreneurial pursuits.
For those interested in participating, booths are still available for a nominal fee of $5. What’s more, the proceeds from booth spots, kid zones, and donations will be generously donated to a non-profit organization, ensuring the event benefits not just the young participants, but the broader community as well.
The initiative has also garnered the support of Kaye and Rick Boehning of Tomorrows Promise Montessori Schools, who have come on board as sponsors, along with The Color Bar.
Community members are encouraged to come out in numbers to support these young entrepreneurs. For parents with children interested in joining the market, they can reach out to Chris Brown via the event page on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/263977549948257/.
With the overwhelming enthusiasm surrounding the event and its strategic location at The Color Bar parking lot, Huntsville’s Kids Business Market promises to be an inspiring day, showcasing the city’s young talents and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship for generations to come.
