HUNTSVILLE, Texas — SAAFE House is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as part-time Residential Advocates at the Huntsville shelter. This role is critical in supporting individuals affected by family violence and sexual assault, providing a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responding to the 24/7 crisis hotline to offer intervention and support services.
- Assisting eligible victims by providing orientation and access to shelter services.
- Conducting weekly client meetings focused on safety planning, goal setting, and connecting them to resources.
- Offering personal advocacy and assistance tailored to client needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of two years of previous work or volunteer experience.
- Experience in client services is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field and bilingual skills are advantageous.
- Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance as per Texas state regulations.
