HUNTSVILLE, Texas — SAAFE House is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as part-time Residential Advocates at the Huntsville shelter. This role is critical in supporting individuals affected by family violence and sexual assault, providing a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responding to the 24/7 crisis hotline to offer intervention and support services.
  • Assisting eligible victims by providing orientation and access to shelter services.
  • Conducting weekly client meetings focused on safety planning, goal setting, and connecting them to resources.
  • Offering personal advocacy and assistance tailored to client needs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of two years of previous work or volunteer experience.
  • Experience in client services is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field and bilingual skills are advantageous.
  • Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance as per Texas state regulations.
