As Sam Houston State University’s Bearkats make their thrilling transition to the Conference USA, a celebratory kickoff event is scheduled this Friday, June 30, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the HEB in Huntsville (1702 11th St, Huntsville, TX 77340).
The Bearkats, previously of the Western Athletic Conference, are now primed to compete in a new realm of collegiate athletics, enhancing their sporting profile and opportunities for more significant achievements. The forthcoming event aims to rally fans and community members around the Bearkats, amplifying their school spirit and enthusiasm for the upcoming football season.
The event, which is open to the public, will feature several notable opportunities for attendees. Fans will get the chance to win tickets to the Bearkats’ football game vs Air Force at NRG Stadium. In addition, attendees can enter a raffle for a chance to win football season tickets and gift cards to True Texas BBQ. Alongside the prizes, fans will also have the opportunity to meet with Bearkats’ coaching staff.
