Headquartered in Houston, Gulf Coast Blood [GCB] handles over 1,000 donations daily, relying

components are always available for patients served by GCB in 26 Texas counties to support
patients needing trauma care, cancer treatments, and surgeries. GCB is the primary provider of
blood and components to over 170 hospitals in the Texas Gulf Coast, Brazos Valley, and East
Texas regions.
Beyond blood collection, GCB provides specialty products and support medical research for cell
and gene therapy. Blood products collected at a mobile blood drive include whole blood,
double-red cells, and plasma. Please note that platelets can only be donated at a donor center.
