The UIL 5A Girls Regional Quarterfinals Basketball game marked the end of a historic playoff run for the Huntsville Lady Hornet Basketball Team, as they lost 52-34 to the Mt. Pleasant Lady Tigers on February 20th. Although the Lady Tigers took an early lead, the Lady Hornets persevered, refusing to give up and playing tough through the entire game.
This marks their fifth consecutive season as District Champions, and it's been a decade since they last made it to the Regional Quarterfinals.
