Obituary For Harry Verne Wilcox
Harry Verne Wilcox, age 94 passed away peacefully on Sunday April 16, 2023. Harry was born in Fredrick, Illinois on August 28, 1928, to Harry Earl Wilcox and Maggie Adeline (Franklin) Wilcox. He is proceeded in death by his parents Harry Earl and Maggie Wilcox, his four sons Bruce, Allen, Rex, and Earl Wilcox and his third wife Susie Wilcox.
Surviving Harry is his daughter Martha Newman of Beardstown, Illinois, his two sons Lonnie Wilcox of Jacksonville, Illinois Raymond Wilcox of Rock Falls, Illinois and daughter Ruth Annette Wilcox of Beardstown, Illinois. Three grandchildren Lisa Lee and husband Brian Cassidy, Huntsville, Texas, Bridget Wilcox, Huntsville, Texas and Christopher Andrew Wilcox of North Zulch, Texas and Sasha Ellis of Beardstown, Illinois. Great Grandchildren David Lee Huntsville, Texas, ShayAnn Waddle, Rocky Mount, Virginia, Josh Krow Stronghurst, Illinois, Real & Emilie Osborne of Lincolnton, North Carolina. CJ and Tucker Wilcox, North Zulch, Texas, and Ripkyn Wilcox of Duncan, Oklahoma. Great Great Grandchildren Orion Waddle, Brentley, Graysen and Hailey Quarles, Rocky Mount, Virginia, Robyn Krow, Stronghurst, Illinois and Liam Silvers, Lincolnton, North Carolina.
Harry was a truck driver for forty years and spent almost his entire life fishing in the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers. He enjoyed watching Gold Rush on Discovery Channel, old westerns, and RFD Channel. He also enjoyed baking pies and cakes.
