Obituary For Johnny Ellisor

Johnny Ellisor, born January 4, 1964, passed away September 2, 2023, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, J.T. Ellisor and his mother, Nona Ruth Ellisor. He is survived by his daughter Megan Ellisor; son Travis Ellisor; sister Rhonda Ellisor; nephew Brad Sherman, and many other family and friends that will miss him dearly.

Johnny led a fulfilling life, beginning with graduation from high school at Coldspring-Oakhurst. He worked as a skilled small engine mechanic at Sears before transitioning to a career in real estate, where he thrived for years and loved working alongside his mother. Johnny contributed to his community and was a dedicated volunteer firefighter in his early years and also worked for the Census. In his retirement, he continued to pour his energy into entrepreneurial projects, including selling firewood. Johnny's legacy will live on through the positive impact he had on those around him and the love he shared with his family and friends.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., following by a service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday September 7, 2023 at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville. Graveside services will follow at Pine Valley Baptist Cemetery.
