Obituary For Tomas Garcia, Sr.

Tomas Garcia Sr. was born July 6, 1949 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones May 9, 2023 at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.

Known to many as a hard-working, generous, and humble person who welcomed anyone to his table, he loved and was loved by many who knew him. Tomas enjoyed being active and being in the outdoors, always tending to his property, or helping someone in need. His pastimes included listening to music, watching sports games, and enjoying time with his family. In 2018, he began to experience serious health issues that slowly progressed, at which time his loved ones began to care and provide the needed support. Even when sick, he had a positive outlook and occasionally would smile, crack jokes and bring ease to the situation. He was always the one who put others before himself. The family greatly appreciates the love and support, along with your thoughts and prayers.

He is survived by his wife Estela Garcia, son Thomas Garcia, daughters Rosie Rodriguez, Laura Garcia, Carol Garcia. Grandsons Joseph Rodriguez, Cesar Garcia, Pablo Sanchez and Matthew Garcia. Granddaughters Elizabeth Rodriguez, Kaysie Garcia, Kelsie Garcia and Jasmine Garcia. Great grandson Noel Rodriguez, and numerous friends and family.
