Rotary District 5910 seeks volunteers and hosts for out-of-town helpers in flood relief efforts.

Huntsville, TX – Rotary District 5910, encompassing clubs from Cleveland, Dayton, East Montgomery, Huntsville, and Livingston, is joining forces to aid communities affected by recent flooding. Disaster Aid USA will begin relief operations in the region starting Thursday, May 16, 2024.

District Governor Amy K. Killgore has enlisted the help of Disaster Aid USA to address the urgent need for mucking and gutting in flood-affected areas. Residents seeking assistance are encouraged to call Crisis Cleanup at 832-509-2977 to report the damage and necessary work. These reports are crucial for directing Disaster Aid USA teams to the most affected locations.

In an email, Killgore emphasized the importance of reporting any damage to Crisis Cleanup to ensure no one misses out on the opportunity for assistance. She also noted that specific areas in dire need should be reported directly to her for potential targeted aid.

In addition to professional aid, Rotary District 5910 is seeking volunteers from within its ranks to support the cleanup efforts. Rotarians are also encouraged to host out-of-town volunteers who are coming to assist. Those willing to provide accommodations can email Killgore with their name, address, available dates, and the number of Rotarians they can host.
