Tomorrow’s Promise Educational Foundation Marks Major Achievement in Childhood Literacy Efforts
Walker County, TX – Tomorrow’s Promise Educational Foundation, a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is proud to announce a remarkable achievement in partnership with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Since its inception in 2018, Tomorrow’s Promise has successfully sent a total of 45,900 free books to the children of Walker County, fostering a love of reading and lifelong learning.
The Dolly Parton Imagination Library program, renowned for its commitment to early childhood literacy, provides enrolled children with a free book each month from birth until their fifth birthday. Through this invaluable partnership, Tomorrow’s Promise Educational Foundation has made significant strides in promoting literacy and education within the community. While the Dolly Parton Imagination Library pays for the books to be produced, Tomorrow’s Promise pays for the books to be shipped to the children in our community.
Currently, 1,041 children are enrolled in the program, eagerly awaiting their monthly books. Additionally, we celebrate the 949 children who have graduated from the program, having received a robust start to their educational journey thanks to this initiative.
