Weldon and Amanda Wallace announce the closure of TomFoolery’s Pizza, Games & Chop Shop, citing challenges with long-term growth.
HUNTSVILLE, Texas — TomFoolery’s Pizza & Games, a local gathering spot known for its welcoming atmosphere and family-friendly setting, is set to close later this month. Owners Weldon and Amanda Wallace announced the decision on the restaurant’s Facebook page, attributing it to a lack of sustainable growth.
“As seasoned business owners, we know the struggles that come with the startup of a new business and what it takes for the longevity of it,” the post read. “After much prayer and consideration, we have decided it best to close TomFoolery’s Pizza & Chop Shop.”
The Wallaces expressed their appreciation for the customers who supported the restaurant, celebrating birthdays and milestones within its walls. “Thank you for the memories, friendships, and laughs we’ve shared in the dining room,” they said, noting that their customers made the journey memorable.
They also thanked their dedicated staff, especially those who had been with them since the beginning. “They are truly special to us,” the owners shared, underscoring their gratitude to the team that helped build and maintain TomFoolery’s reputation in the community.
TomFoolery’s final day of operation will be Friday, November 22. While this chapter ends, the Wallaces expressed optimism for the future, stating they look forward to the next season of their journey in Huntsville, a community they have grown to cherish.
As they close the doors to the beloved pizzeria, the Wallaces reflected on Ecclesiastes 3:1-15: “For everything there is a season.”
