Celebrate over 100 years of tradition with music, community, and holiday cheer at SHSU’s Tree of Light Ceremony

Tonight, November 19, Sam Houston State University will celebrate over 103 years of tradition with its annual Tree of Light Ceremony. The evening begins with a festival at 4:30 PM, followed by the official lighting ceremony at 6:00 PM. This cherished event brings together students, faculty, staff, and the local community to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season and the joy of giving.

The festival will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, setting the tone for an evening of holiday cheer. At 6 PM, the spotlight will be on the lighting of the tree, marking the start of the ceremony. The SHSU Choral and Orange Pride Dance Team will take the stage, filling the air with music and performance that embody the festive spirit.
