HUNTSVILLE, Texas — The Huntsville community is preparing for the 2nd Annual Share the Love donation drive, set to take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025. This community-driven initiative, originally launched by the Huntsville Leadership Institute (HLI) Class 42, aims to collect essential items for senior citizens in need.

Building on Last Year’s Success

The Share the Love drive began in 2024 as a project by HLI Class 42, a leadership development program that encourages local professionals to engage in community service. The inaugural event provided much-needed support for more than 100 senior citizens living at Parkview Place Apartments, Senior Villages of Huntsville, and other residences.

Recognizing the impact of last year’s effort, Hello Huntsville stepped in to continue the event for a second year, ensuring that local seniors receive vital supplies.

“We had a great class that came up with the idea, and it was incredible to see how much of a difference we made,” said Rob Hipp, owner of Hello Huntsville and a member of HLI Class 42. “Senior citizens are often overlooked when it comes to community donations, but this drive is a way to show them they are valued and cared for.”

The donated supplies, including toiletries, paper goods, and hygiene products, were collected by community members and distributed to local seniors in need. Sharing the Love with Seniors

The Share the Love donation drive is more than just a collection event; it’s an opportunity for the Huntsville community to come together to support its senior citizens.

“These donations go directly to local seniors who need them,” said Hipp. “It’s a simple way for us to give back and remind them they are not forgotten.”
