HUNTSVILLE, TX – The previously unused parcel of land near Interstate 45 is nearing the end of its transformation into the site of Clean Car Wash, a notable addition to the commercial area of Huntsville.

The Huntsville Planning Commission, following a city council meeting on October 7, 2021, approved the $5.9 million project. With final approval now granted by the Huntsville City Council, the new commercial car wash site sits at the intersection of 11th Street and Pear Street.

The Clean Car Wash project is part of the commercial growth observed along 11th Street in Huntsville. The Planning Commission previously gave preliminary consent for a shopping center development at the location of the former ‘Hat House’.

The person behind Clean Car Wash is Ronnie Corbin, a car wash developer based in Plano. Corbin’s plans include opening 15 car washes in Texas in the following 24 months. The Huntsville facility is expected to employ between eight and ten individuals.

In anticipation of an opening date, inquiries have been made by Hello Huntsville to Clean Car Wash.

The new car wash establishment has a planned capacity of handling 300 cars per day with a 132-foot washing tunnel, primarily using reclaimed water. The facility will also feature 27 vacuum bays.

As part of the conditional use permit, the developer will establish a vegetation buffer zone between the car wash and the adjacent residential properties.
