In memoriam
Patricia Ruth Eckert
April 21, 1941
Obituary
Patricia Ruth Eckert was born on April 21, 1941 to Leslie Blaine Clark and Juanita Mae Davis Clark in Illinois. She spent her childhood and early adulthood in Chicago, graduating from Northpark University with an English degree. In 1975, she met Robert (Bob) Eckert, a chemical engineer cowboy who was working as a ranch hand at her father’s guest ranch in Hill City, South Dakota. After marriage, they traveled the world with Bob’s oil company career before settling at their dream ranch in Huntsville, Texas in 1995. During her travels, Pat became an avid antique collector and highly respected dealer, filling her home with beautiful primitive antiques from all over the world. Being a traditional homemaker and creating a beautiful home brought her great joy and her life was spent in complete devotion to building a life with Bob until his passing in 2012. Pat passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7. She was a faithful servant to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we find peace and comfort knowing she is finally reunited with her forever cowboy, Mr. Bob, in heaven.
She is survived by her three children, Paul Stray, Kristin Stray Buck, and Andrew Eckert, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16 at 4:00pm in Montgomery, Texas. Our gratitude is given to the staff and nurses of Strake Court and Hospice 365 in Conroe for her care in these last few months. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of her favorite places, the Lone Star Cowboy Church in Montgomery, Texas.
