Mary Ann’s journey into the world of natural healing and crystals began long before the opening of her storefront. “I’m actually a Reiki master teacher, so I’ve used crystals for a long time,” Mary Ann explained. Her passion for crystals evolved into a business idea following a successful stint at a local Christmas fair. “I didn’t know how well the crystals were going to do in Huntsville, but we did amazing there,” she said, recounting the unexpectedly positive response which cemented her decision to open The Crystal Labyrinth.
The shop, located at 1215a Sam Houston Ave, showcases an extensive selection of crystals sourced from small businesses across the U.S. and around the world. But The Crystal Labyrinth offers more than just crystals. Visitors can also find crystal-infused bath and body products, incense, and other self-care items.
In addition to retail, The Crystal Labyrinth is committed to education and community engagement. Beginning May 21st, Mary Ann will lead a four-week certification course titled “Crystals and Crystal Healing,” held every Tuesday evening. “It’s about learning all about crystals, their properties, how to use them to enhance your well-being, and more,” Mary Ann detailed. The course, priced at $100, promises to be an enlightening experience for participants, with enrollment open until May 8th through the shop’s website or in-person visits.
Mary Ann’s venture is not just a business but a culmination of her life’s work and passions. Reflecting on her decision to settle in Huntsville, she noted, “I just didn’t know it was going to be Huntsville until I did the Christmas fair.” The overwhelming turnout at the fair was a significant indicator of the local community’s interest and support.
