The Huntsville-Walker County Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the 49th Annual Fair on the
Square on Saturday, October 7th AND Pre-Fair on the Square Concert on Friday, October 6th! A BIG

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU ARRIVE!
Start early on Friday, October 6th as we officially kick off the Fair on the Square at the concert featuring
PUSHWATER!
- Gates open at 6:00! ENTRANCE IS FREE! The event will be held under the large tent on the corner
of 14th and University in The Watering Hole! Come help us get this party started!!! The concert is
sponsored by Wiesner, Inc.-Huntsville. - Saturday, October 7th the Fair will begin at 9:00 a.m. AND this year we are extending the Fair to
6:00 p.m.! Over 400 vendors will be selling just about anything you can imagine!
Be sure to visit these other popular attractions while you are there:
o The Wine Knot, sponsored by Walker County Federal Credit Union, allows you to come and taste several wines from several Texas Vineyards and Meaderies! Tickets are only $15 each for one or BRING a friend and get two tickets for just $25! Tickets will be on sale at the event. This ticket will give you 10 tastings, you may also purchase wine by the glass or by a bottle to take home & enjoy later. The Wine Knot is located in the parking lot between the Walker County Title Company and Cloud 9 (off of University).
AND Several hometown restaurants will be on site preparing yummy appetizers!
Farmhouse Café, City Hall Café, Café Texan, Sam’s Table and Southwood Restaurant.
o The Watering Hole is open from 10-6 on Saturday and will feature the Battle of the Bands Contest. Be sure to stop by and vote for your favorite! Entrance is FREE…beer and soft drinks are available for purchase. Must have current ID to purchase alcoholic drinks.
o The Food Court, located in the Walker County Annex parking lot, will feature 30 plus different vendors selling everything from barbecue to fried pickles, sweet tea & lemonade to root beer floats and so much MORE!
o The Huntsville Cruisers Classic Cars will be on sight again. Look for them in the Allstate Insurance Parking Lot and City Hall Café, all right off Sam Houston Avenue! Stop by and vote for your favorite car, but be sure to visit them early, they wrap up at 3:00 with awards!
o We have TWO Kids Zones tons of fun for the kiddos! Locations are:
Kids Zone 1 – Rather Park (corner of 13th and University Avenue)
Kids Zone 2 lot across from 1st Baptist Church (corner of 13th & Avenue J)

o Many downtown merchants and restaurants will open their doors on Saturday as well. Be sure to visit them and see their specials for the day! These are located on the square and in the Midway Plaza!
o PARKING…always an issue BUT we have that problem SOLVED!
TWO LOCATIONS FOR FREE PARKING AND FREE SHUTTLE!!
- Park at Sam Houston State University Bowers Stadium Lot Z2-14 (next to the large
scoreboard at 620 Bowers Blvd.) and take the shuttle provided by First Baptist Church
AND Northside Baptist Church or - Park at University Heights Baptist Church (located at 2400 Sycamore Avenue) and
take the shuttle provided by Covenant Fellowship
Both shuttles will provide free drop off at the doorstep of the fair and you won’t have to
search for a parking spot!
