Celebrating Community Spirit and Positive Growth in 2023
Huntsville, TX – As the year draws to a close, Hello Huntsville, the brainchild of local resident Rob Hipp and his family, reflects on a year filled with community engagement, support, and positive news. Launched in early 2023 after the Hipp family returned to their roots in Huntsville, Hello Huntsville has quickly become a staple in the community, promoting all the good happening around town.
“Our aim was simple,” says Rob Hipp, founder of Hello Huntsville. “We wanted to create a platform where the positive stories of Huntsville are not just told but celebrated. It’s about bringing the community together and focusing on the good that surrounds us every day.”
Thanks to the generous support of the Foundation Five Sponsors—Walker County Federal Credit Union, Guardian Defense, Tomorrow’s Promise Montessori Schools, The Color Bar, and Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home—Hello Huntsville launched the “Good Morning Huntsville” show. This daily broadcast became a morning ritual for many, tuning in to hear about local heroes, community events, and uplifting stories.
Elliot’s Jewelers played a pivotal role in the platform’s success by sponsoring the studio. At the same time, Paul Olle of The Gallery helped secure a prime location downtown, setting the stage for a community-centric broadcast. The involvement of local experts and businesses like Sam Moak of Moak & Moak, Vicki McKenzie and Terri Coleman, Adler Family Toys, LearningRX, and Magnolia Kennel further enriched the content, showcasing the diverse fabric of Huntsville’s community.
With a following of over 2,800 on Facebook and an average of 600 viewers and listeners each weekday, Hello Huntsville’s “Good Morning Huntsville” show became a beacon of positivity. The platform also launched RAYS OF HOPE, a summer fundraising drive that remarkably raised over $10,000 in cash and product donations for area non-profits.
“Seeing the community come together to support Rays of Hope was a testament to the spirit of Huntsville,” reflects Hipp. “It was more than a fundraiser; it was a movement of community kindness.”
The Hello Huntsville website has become a go-to source for positive stories and features about the town, drawing in over 7,000 monthly visitors. It highlights everything from new businesses to heartwarming community stories, contributing to a more informed and connected community.
As Hello Huntsville looks ahead to 2024, the team is enthusiastic about continuing this momentum. “We are incredibly grateful for the support and engagement from every corner of Huntsville,” says Hipp. “It’s your stories, your businesses, and your spirit that make Hello Huntsville what it is. We are excited to continue this journey and share even more of the good that 2023 has brought us.”
Rob Hipp, also serving as the Media and Community Outreach Minister at First Baptist Church Huntsville and president of Spirit Media, Inc., is dedicated to enriching the community’s spiritual and social landscape. His vision for bringing a LPFM Christian radio station to Huntsville is another testament to his commitment to positive community growth.
As Hello Huntsville signs off on a successful 2023, the message is clear: the community’s strength lies in its unity and positivity. Thanks to the collective efforts of sponsors, contributors, and followers, Hello Huntsville will continue to shine a light on the good in 2024 and beyond.
